Affies displayed serious resilience on the final day of the Wildeklawer Festival, ripping back from a staggering 23-5 halftime hole to clinch a 40-37 victory over Boishaai. The momentum swung completely in the second forty minutes as the Roos found their attacking gear. After early strikes from Liam de Villiers and Wian Delport handed Boishaai a comfortable lead, it appeared the game was already written.
The turning point came when Affies managed to score through Dandre Brink, keeping the contest alive. The breakthrough effort saw Ewald van Niekerk finding the scoreboard, followed by sustained pressure resulting in a penalty try. Although Boishaai answered back with a try from Dante Davis, the attacking intensity of the Roos was unrelenting. Rico du Plessis continued the pressure, crossing to ensure the lead remained contested, forcing Boishaai to commit to a desperate battle until the final whistle.
