Grey High staged an impressive second-half comeback to dismantle Michaelhouse in Gqeberha, securing a 28-19 victory on the Kolisi Field.

The initial half suggested the KwaZulu-Natal side had it wrapped up. Michaelhouse had taken the early lead through hooker Max Oliva, and the scoring continued with tries from wing Laird Hamilton-Brown and flyhalf Jack Carmody. Fullback Alex Jankowitz added two conversions, leaving the kZN side with a comfortable 19-15 advantage at the break. However, the narrative shifted completely after the interval. The hosts, Grey High, launched a furious second-half assault that built towards a decisive try of the match by centre Ciaran Killian. After weathering what appeared to be a sustained Michaelhouse attacking wave, the hosts managed to seal the win with a late penalty goal, demonstrating their sheer resilience. Outside of this fixture, the weekend showcased massive swings in form, particularly at the Wildeklawer Tournament in Kimberley. Paarl Gim hammered Helpmekaar 45-10, while Affies defeated Outeniqua 55-26. Furthermore, Stellenberg kept their excellent season momentum going, defeating Wynberg 38-10 in the Noordvaal Cup.
